Marcel's Booth is the newest single from Melbourne's Synth-pop group Curves. Diegetic sounds of pensive car windshield wipers, cracking thunder, and the interior of a diner place us in Curves' rainy world. Bookends of pulsing and swirling synth pads, transitions in and out of a grimey, fuzzed guitar driven bridge with cold robotic vocal harmonies, and finally a realisation of lonesome clarity bind this short but powerful track. Curves are performing regularly around Melbourne and have plans to release their second EP later this year.
